In this pivotal role, you’ll partner closely with attorneys to manage all phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle—from strategy and vendor coordination to hands-on review support and project budgeting. This is a great opportunity for a tech-savvy legal operations professional with strong Relativity expertise and a deep understanding of EDRM workflows to make a visible impact on high-stakes matters within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Candidates holding an RCA or Relativity Review Management Specialist Certification, and/or a JD, will receive priority consideration. This is a hybrid position and must be based in NYC or DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, support, and validate electronic processing, load file and data manipulation, data loading into review platforms, and document productions.
  • Document the entire discovery process using the department’s project-management software application.
  • Prepare third-party RFPs, develop and maintain project-level budgets, and attain necessary signatures to submit.
  • Negotiate, review, compare, and present third-party proposals to attorneys, along with recommendations.
  • Ensure third-party vendors conform to all firm guidelines, protocols, and best practices.
  • Accurately interpret and understand case team needs, while setting appropriate expectations and communicating risk factors.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve issues.
  • Assist legal teams with various tasks including, but not limited to, searching, data analysis and validation document coding, privilege logs, and quality control checks.
  • Train attorneys and paralegals on Discovery Services applications.
  • Media Track, Virus Scan and coordinate transfer of incoming productions and/or client data to managed service providers for processing/loading into Review platform.
  • Manage firm’s document repository directories. Create new folders and grant access as requested.
  • Monitor and respond to department phone line and department mailbox.
  • Keep abreast of technology, legal trends, and news as it relates to litigation support/eDiscovery through trade publications, articles, webinars, and conferences.
  • Daily use of Relativity
  • Participate in industry events, focus groups, conferences, and seminars.
  • Other tasks as may be required from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with significant legal project management experience within a law firm, third-party service provider, or both.
  • Exceptional e-discovery project management skills, including project planning, creating documentation, developing and maintaining project-level budgets, ongoing consultative support, and training.
  • Working Knowledge of the EDRM workflow and how stages relate to each other.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn and independently use new applications.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, service, and positive attitude toward members of the firm as well as clients and vendors via email, voice, and in-person communication.
  • Possess CEDS certification and be in good standing with ACEDS is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Relativity and familiarity with other e-discovery software and AI tools.
  • Current Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or Relativity Review Management Specialist preferred, but not required.
  • J.D. also preferred, but not required.
