**Job Description** The technician supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus. **Responsibilities** **_Required Skills:_** + _Ability to debug, rework, repair, and test system motherboards._ + _Proficiency with electrical test equipment and instrumentation such as:_ + _Oscilloscopes_ + _DMM_ + _Bus analyzers, PCIe, SPI, I2C, I3C, SVID, etc._ + _Logic Analyzers_ + _Power Supplies_ + _Electronic Loads_ + _FW Download devices_ + _Bring-up and test new PCB prototypes._ + _Build up new servers and prototypes for test teams._ + _Knowledge of server architecture and experience with debugging the following subsystems:_ + _CPU/Multi-CPU_ + _VRDs/HPC/EFUSE/PSUs_ + _Memory DIMM_ + _Micro-controllers_ + _FPGAs_ + _General Logic_ + _Add-in Cards, I/O and GPU._ + _Bus switches_ + _Bus re-timers and re-drivers_ + _FLASH_ + _HDD, SSD_ + _System buses: PCIe, I2C, I3C, eSPI, SVID, GPIO, JTAG, etc._ + _PCB and cabling_ + _Ability to use a solder Iron to perform delicate rework on high density PCBs._ + _Wire adds_ + _Cuts/Isolation_ + _Part swaps of RES/Cap and certain ICs_ **_Preferred skills:_** + _Experience with Intel or AMD architecture is a plus._ + _Experience with PCIe attached GPUs is a plus._ + _Proficient in the flow of CAD design tools such as Cadence, Concept, Allegro._ + _Proficiency in SW scripting is also a plus._ _Associates degree in electronics technology with 4-6 years of experience is a must with a strong background in Digital and Analog circuitry._ _Must be able to lift 35 lbs._ Disclaimer: **Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.** **Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only** US: Hiring Range in USD from $30.29 to $60.63 per hour; from: $63,000 to $126,100 per annum.
