Job Description

We are seeking an  Experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant for our Business Processing Outsourcing Department in our Atlanta office. This position requires a positive, self-motivated individual with superior organizational skills, and the ability to work within deadlines and execute multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure a high level of professional standards.  What you will do:  

  • Perform bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, and informational reporting tasks for multiple clients
  • Perform closing procedures
  • Prepare and check financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Onboard and provide regular consultation to clients on their accounting, business administration, and taxation needs
  • Research questions and discuss with the Manager/Partner for further guidance
  • Perform other related duties as required 

What you need to bring:  

  • 3+ years of Accounting experience, preferably public accounting, which includes preparing financial statements and communicating with clients
  • Strong knowledge of accrual-basis accounting
  • Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online required
  • Basic knowledge of US tax system
  • Able to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Must work independently within an established administrative framework
  • Proven expertise in MS Word and MS Outlook with a working knowledge of MS Excel, and Adobe software applications
  • Team player, willing to work with and contribute to the success of a team of personable, highly motivated professionals
  • Demonstrate high-level client-service orientation, ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with maximum discretion and understanding of clients needs
  • Ability to understand challenges facing partners and staff members and be able to manage/reschedule priorities effectively
  • Superior organization skills – ability to come up with processes and competently follow through
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to exercise good judgment/decision-making when necessary
  • Ability to anticipate problems and act accordingly
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task – great time management
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills required

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Strong knowledge of US-GAAP
  • Accounting software experience in SAP, NetSuite, and SAGE Intacct is a plus
  • Familiarity with ADP and Paychex platforms
  • Exposure to inventory accounting and bookkeeping for e-commerce companies
  • German and/or Italian language skills preferred
