Job Description

As a Sourcing Specialist Associate your goal is to support sourcing and purchasing efforts within an assigned finished goods commodity, assisting in achieving objectives. This role focuses on providing support to cost reduction and process improvement projects and aids in supply base improvement activities. #LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid

 

You will do this by:

  • Assisting in supplier marketing surveys, assessments, and development
  • Supporting the follow-up of RFQs, Liability Insurance, Tooling POs, and Production with the corporate team
  • Assisting in communicating company requirements of processes to suppliers
  • Aiding in measuring and improving supplier performance and helps maintain supplier lists
  • Helping to maintain Documentation Control according to B&S sourcing procedures
  • Assisting in selecting supplier intelligence information to support sourcing project team decisions
  • Supporting the follow-up of Supplier Finance Wellness and Confidential Agreements with the team and providing support on customer social accountability audits
  • Assisting in audits of the implementation of the Sourcing Playbook
  • Supporting internal department audits and assists in following up on corrective action plan implementation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Operations or related field
  • 0-2 years experience in sourcing and supplier development

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in a cross-functional environment
  • Previous related internship experience
  • Previous work in/experience with a global environment/culture

 

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Self-motivated, results-driven/goal-oriented with customer focus and a sense of urgency
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of people
  • Basic project management and time management skills
  • Ability to learn to read blueprints
  • Able to use Microsoft Office and Google software applications
  • Sound presentation skills at all levels
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
